The Tooele City Animal Shelter’s mission is to promote public health and safety within our community by providing professional sheltering services for stray or dangerous pets.

The shelter is closed to the public. Operating hours will be Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and is by appointment only. If you are trying to reclaim your animal, you must contact the shelter by phone at 435.882.4607 and arrange a time with the shelter staff.  The animal shelter no longer accepts owner surrendered dogs or cats. Animals to be impounded will only be accepted through Animal Control and/or Police Officers. Residents need to report dangerous animals or strays to dispatch at 435.882.5600 option 1.
