LANE CLOSURES COMING TO I-80 FOR ONE WEEK
As early as Wednesday, May 30, crews will reduce one lane in each direction at the I-80 bridge over UPRR. The eastbound/westbound lane closures will be in place for up to one week.
This closure will be located at milepost 102 and will be approximately one mile in length in order to accommodate potholing and patchwork on the bridge deck. This activity will facilitate the planned rehabilitation of the overall bridge.
Significant delays are expected as part of these closures. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead when traveling on I-80. Drivers can use S.R. 201/202 as an alternate route or adjust their travel times to avoid peak travel periods when traffic is expected to be the most congested.
SPREAD THE WORD
Please share this information with your family, friends, and neighbors. We want the many people who travel to and from Salt Lake City to be aware and prepared for the upcoming closure and expected delays.
