Support of Local Businesses – Tooele City Sign Ordinance

Posted March 19, 2020

Support Local Businesses

“Last night at midnight, the statewide ban on all dine-in options at restaurants, bars and food establishments went into effect for two weeks. I recognize the burden that this will have on our local and small businesses in our City.

I want our businesses to know that we stand in solidarity with you at this difficult time and recognize that you are the lifeblood of our local economy.

Starting today, and for the next 29 days, I am suspending enforcement of Tooele City’s sign ordinance regarding temporary signs. I only ask that our businesses be reasonable in their judgement as it relates to this temporary enforcement suspension.

I also want to encourage our community to shop locally and support our local businesses. Together we can weather these unprecedented times and emerge stronger as a community.”

Mayor Debbie Winn
