Guiding Good Choices™ is a series of workshops (5 two-hour sessions) for families with children 9-17 years old.

The fun, interactive sessions help to improve family communication and bonding.  Practical methods are learned to reduce arguing and help avoid problem behaviors.  The result is a more communicative and compassionate home where all family members are involved.

City Council Meeting – Cancelled

Update:  Due to this morning’s 5.7 magnitude earthquake in our area, as well as COVID-19, the Tooele City Council called an emergency meeting today, March 18, 2020 at 10:42 a.m.  Tonight’s City Council meetings have been cancelled.  

City Council Meetings are generally held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Tooele City Hall 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

This FREE, evidence-based program will help participants recognize the warning signs, risk factors, and common behaviors of those at risk for suicide. Participants will learn skills on how to best help and potentially save lives of loved ones.  This training is for anyone who would like resources on this important issue.  Participants 12 and older are welcome to enroll.

Cemetery Clean Up

Tooele City CemeteryNOTICE:   Weather permitting, Tooele City Cemetery personnel will perform a complete clean-up of the Cemetery grounds beginning March 23, 2020. All decorations in the Cemetery will be discarded including items within the concrete border/lawnmower strip. At the discretion of the Cemetery staff, any decorations in vases that show weather damage will be removed and discarded. Beginning April 1, 2020 decorations may be placed on graves in accordance with Cemetery policy for summer months.

Trash to Treasure – Family Art Night (AT HOME!)

Trash to Treasure on Monday, March 23rd is cancelled at the Dow James, but Trash to Treasure at home can still go on!  Boredom buster! At home fun!

Trash to Treasure 2020 at HOME

Before you trash any treasures take certain measure to make something colorful, creative, and fun using re-purposed items!  Then follow Danny the Digger on Facebook and post your creations!  Danny will vote for his favorite masterpiece. Winner will receive a prize.  Photos must be posted by March 27th at 8:00 a.m.

Mixed Media and Oils 2020

*This class will cover the basic methods and practices of oil painting, pen and ink, and sketching. This class is designed for all artist levels and will be taught using an independent style of study. Participants will need to provide their own supplies. A supply list will be emailed before the first class. Class taught by Rowe Harrison.
