Oh My Tech! (Digital Me)

Did Santa bring a new piece of technology to you this year? Could you use some hands-on help learning to use it? Bring your new gift into the library during ‘Oh My Tech’! Librarians will help you set up and learn the basics of your new devices. No technology experience is needed to be successful. ‘Oh My Tech’ is an informal “drop in” event. Come by anytime during the function to get hands on help.

In observance of the holiday, Tooele City Offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022.

Trash will be picked up on this day. Garbage collection is scheduled for regular pickup services. If you have questions, please call ACE Disposal at 435-882-7009 or the Tooele City Finance Office at 435.843.2150.

Leap into Learning: Early Literacy Program Series

Leap Into Learning is an Early Literacy virtual program for children ages 3-5 years old.
This class meets weekly in a virtual setting for songs, stories, literacy skills and learning fun.
To participate, you’ll need internet access and a device with a camera and microphone.
This class is 6-weeks long with one virtual session per week on Tuesdays at 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. beginning January 4, 2022 and ending on February 8, 2022.
You will need to pick up your very own Leap Into Learning literacy kit with the supplies you’ll need for the 6 sessions on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
You will receive an email with login information and program information following registration. Space is limited. Register early.

Android Phone & Tablet Essentials (Digital Me)

In this free class, you’ll learn the basic features of your Android phone or tablet. Includes basic navigation, finding and using apps, and more. Bring your Android-based phone or tablet to class. (Fully charge your device before class.)

Guiding Good Choices FREE Parenting & Family Workshops

Guiding Good Choices Workshop Series

Guiding Good Choices™ is a series of workshops (5 two-hour sessions) for families with children 9-17 years old.

The fun, interactive sessions help to improve family communication and bonding.  Practical methods are learned to reduce arguing and help avoid problem behaviors.  The result is a more communicative and compassionate home where all family members are involved.

Families who complete the workshop will earn a $50 gift card!

Story Time

Story time is a preschool program using the 7 days 7 ways principles from Very Ready to Read.
City Council Meeting

City Council Meetings are generally held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Tooele City Hall 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public.  Work Sessions are usually held the same day prior to the Business Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Check the agendas for the Work Session meeting time.

We encourage you to join the City Council meeting electronically by logging on to the Tooele City Facebook page at //www.facebook.com/tooelecity.  If you choose to attend, in person please maintain social distancing, limit the number of people that attend with you, and wear a face covering.

If you would like to submit a comment for the public comment period or for a public hearing item, please email cmpubliccomment@tooelecity.org anytime up until the start of the meeting.   Emails will be read at the designated points in the meeting.

DIY All-Season Interchangeable Farm Truck Centerpiece

DIY All-Season Interchangeable Farm Truck Centerpiece - January 20, 2022
Come create an adorable interchangeable wood truck centerpiece that measures 14 inches long x 5 inches tall.

Each truck set comes with 10 holiday/seasonal wood shapes that are designed to be placed in the truck bed for a new look each month!

We will provide various colors of paint and stains to make sure your truck matches your home decor!

This class will be held at Tooele City Hall (basement classroom) 90 North Main Street. Class starts at 6:00 pm.

The cost is $25.00 per person and includes all supplies (one 14 x 5 inch wood truck, 10 unfinished wood shapes, acrylic paints, stains, & brushes).
