Dow James Building is Open for Walking

NOTICE: THE DOW JAMES BUILDING  WILL NOT BE OPEN IN JANUARY.  We are redoing the flooring in the Dow James Building. This project includes  the removal of the existing flooring system in the building and installation of approximately 77,000 s.f. of new synthetic athletic flooring. We  apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this project!

Come in from the cold!  The Dow James Building is available for walking most weekday mornings Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. from October 15th through April 15th.  This is a great service available during the winter months that we hope our residents will take advantage of and enjoy!  Questions? Call Tooele City Parks and Recreation at 435.843.2143.

All are welcome! Strollers permissible. Bikes and scooters not allowed.

Please note that the building may not be available some mornings due to rentals/events.

#TakePrideTooele Fall 2021 Cleanup Project – Copper Canyon Pathway

Fall Cleanup Project - Copper Canyon Pathway - October 18, 2021

 

Fall is the perfect time to show your pride in Tooele City!  We hope you will take the opportunity to come spend an hour and work alongside Tooele City Mayor Debbie Winn and members of the Tooele City Council to clean up and beautify our community—especially if the projects are in your neighborhood!

We have two great projects planned in October! On Thursday, October 7th join us at 6:00 p.m. on the north side of Skyline Drive and Upland DriveOn Monday, October 18th join us at 6:00 p.m. at the Copper Canyon Pathway located between Tooele Boulevard and Diamant Lane at approximately 460 West.  This is a great opportunity to serve! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join with us!

Bring a pair of gloves, but all other tools and equipment will be provided through the #TakePrideTooele Neighborhood Cleanup Trailer.

 

Residents play a critical role in beautifying our community!  Thank you for your help keeping Tooele City beautiful!

Halloween Paint Night at the Museum

Halloween Paint Night at the Museum - October 19, 2021

In this class you will learn how to paint a Spooky Haunted House scene!

This class will be held at the Haunted Historic Park (Tooele Valley Museum, 35 North Broadway Street).

Class starts at 6:00 pm.

The cost is $10.00 per person and includes all supplies (one 11 x 14 canvas, acrylic paints, & brushes).

Divider Line VerticalThis FREE, evidence-based program will help participants recognize the warning signs, risk factors, and common behaviors of those at risk for suicide. Participants will learn skills on how to best help and potentially save lives of loved ones.  This training is for anyone who would like resources on this important issue.  Participants 12 and older are welcome to enroll.

City Council Meeting

City Council Meetings are generally held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Tooele City Hall 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public.  Work Sessions are usually held the same day prior to the Business Meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Check the agendas for the Work Session meeting time.

We encourage you to join the City Council meeting electronically by logging on to the Tooele City Facebook page at //www.facebook.com/tooelecity.  If you choose to attend, in person please maintain social distancing, limit the number of people that attend with you, and wear a face covering.

If you would like to submit a comment for the public comment period or for a public hearing item, please email cmpubliccomment@tooelecity.org anytime up until the start of the meeting.   Emails will be read at the designated points in the meeting.
