Guiding Good Choices™ is a series of workshops (5 two-hour sessions) for families with children 9-17 years old.

All ages and skill levels welcome!!
In lieu of restrictions resulting from Covid-19 the annual Plein Air competition has changed. The Tooele City Arts Council is teaming up with The Tooele County Art Guild for a Plein Air day. We, the Tooele City Arts Council, are inviting all artists, of all ages, and all skill levels to come participate in a day of making art.
Here are the participant guidelines for the day:
• Artists will meet at the Tooele Valley Museum and Historical Park, 35 North Broadway, Tooele, Utah at 8:00 am on October 24, 2020.
• Each artist must bring their own supplies.
• There will NOT be an entry fee
• Artist will set up on location and be finished painting by 12:00 pm
• Artist will enter their information for a drawing. There will be three $50 visa gift cards given out.
• There will be two pieces chosen by judges to receive a $75 visa card.
• All artwork will be displayed digitally on social media sites for the public to see.
• All mediums all welcome (paint, pastel, graphite).
Class will start at 6:30 pm on Zoom on October 29th.
Each participant will be sent an email invite to the Zoom class on October 29 before class.
In this class our instructor will give step by step instructions on how to paint the spooky black cat and pumpkin! Participants will be able to watch and ask the instructor questions.
Each participant will receive an 11 x 14 canvas, three different paint brushes, five different colors of acrylic paint, a pencil, eraser, wax paper, and a water cup.
Participants will need to pick up the provided supplies at Tooele City Hall room 101 on either October 27, 28, or 29 anytime between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Limited spots are available. Pre-registration is required.

Oh what fun it is to craft in your nice warm cozy house!
Craft kits will be available for pick-up on November 20, 2020 at Tooele City Hall (90 N. Main St., Tooele) between 2:00-6:00 pm.
Please wear a mask and enter Tooele City Hall on the east side of the building to receive your projects. You will be able to select the paint colors and any embellishments needed. If you prefer to have your projects brought to your car please park and text or call 435-830-2458 to have your projects delivered directly to your car. If you are unable to pick up your projects on November 20th please email hollyt@tooelecity.org to make other arrangements.
Please remember that all samples just show one way that project can be done. The materials provided may not match exactly with what the sample look like. Basic paint colors. brushes, and embellishments will be provided with each kit. No refunds will be issued! Samples can be found at Tooele City Hall. (90 North Main Street, Tooele).
