Fine Arts Club will be an at home class this summer. Each week we will feature a famous artist and include the supplies to create a similar masterpiece. Each session will last for 5 weeks.
On July 6, 2020 our instructors will deliver a bag with the supplies and instructions needed for each project. These kits will be delivered to your home between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Following delivery and on every Monday at 11:30 a.m. an instructional video will be posted on the Tooele City Arts Council’s Facebook page. Participants will be able to ask the instructor any questions they may have regarding the project. Please call 435.830.2458 if you have any questions.
This class is recommended for ages 8-12 years of age.

There are 2 classes in each session. One class is geared toward children ages 3 – 8 and the other class is geared toward children ages 6 – 12.

Instructors will be available on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You can ask them questions or ask for additional instruction through Facebook by commenting on the day’s instructional video post or through FB messenger. If you need help after that hour, instructors will try to get back with you as soon as possible.
The Plein Air Art Contest has been modified this year, but we are excited to still hold this event!
Guidelines for Participants
In lieu of restrictions resulting from covid-19 the annual Plein air competition has changed. The Tooele City Arts Council is teaming up with The Tooele County Art Guild for a plein air day. We, the Tooele City Arts Council, are inviting all artists, of all ages, and all skill levels to come participate in a day of making art. Here are the guidelines for the day:
- Artists will meet at the Coulter House, 175 UT-138 in Stansbury Park, July 11th at 8:00 am.
- Each artist must bring their own supplies.
- There will NOT be an entry fee
- Artist will set up on location and be finished painting by 12:00 pm
- Artist will enter their information for a drawing. There will be three $50 visa gift cards given out.
- There will be two pieces chosen by judges to receive a $75 visa card.
- All artwork will be displayed digitally on social media sites for the public to see.
City Council Meetings are generally held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Tooele City Hall 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

This FREE, evidence-based program will help participants recognize the warning signs, risk factors, and common behaviors of those at risk for suicide. Participants will learn skills on how to best help and potentially save lives of loved ones. This training is for anyone who would like resources on this important issue. Participants 12 and older are welcome to enroll.
