Easter Craft Workshop – CANCELLED

Due to the current events related to the Covid-19 Virus, we are choosing to take additional precautions by canceling the workshop and wreath class, but you are still able to order projects until Sunday, March 15th until midnight.

If you ordered before Sunday, March 15th, projects and supplies will be available for pick up. All supplies will still be provided such as: paint, stain, brushes,embellishments and project instructions.  More information will be provided regarding pick up dates, location, and time.  Delivery may be requested for Tooele County area only with no additional charges by emailing info@tooelecityartscouncil.com.

This year’s Women’s Health Expo features special guest Jan Broberg as the keynote speaker. Jan is the victim of the Netflix Crime Documentary, “Abducted in Plain Sight” and continues to be a tireless activist for survivors of sexual assault. She is using her growing platform to educate families on protecting their own children and being aware of the growing national and international problem of human trafficking.

*This class will cover the basic methods and practices of oil painting, pen and ink, and sketching. This class is designed for all artist levels and will be taught using an independent style of study. Participants will need to provide their own supplies. Great news! Tooele City Library will have a hold pick up service for two days between 12:00 and 5:00 pm on April 13 and 14. (Please read information below)

To help pick-up run smoothly for everyone, please do the following :
Place hold requests using ONE card per family at https://tooele.ent.sirsi.net/
Place hold requests before 7:00 am on Monday, April 13.
Have your card number handy at pick up.
Please be patient and stay in your car.
Pick up will be done in the angled parking spaces on the North side of the building. Enter from 100 West and exit onto 150 West.
At arrival, park in a numbered spot and call 435-882-2182.
Pick up ends promptly at 5:00 pm. Don’t wait until the last minute.
Do not pick up if you or someone in your household is sick. (Call the library to discuss alternate pick up arrangements.)
Returns cannot be accepted on pick up days. Don’t worry—check out limits have been extended to allow for returns later in the week. (All due dates are extended until the library reopens.)

Utah's Statewide Virtual Job Fair 2020
The State of Utah’s Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is finding new ways to meet the needs of our changing economy. With the influx of unemployed workers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and at a time of social distancing, DWS is rolling out its first ever Virtual Job Fair.
 
The statewide VIRTUAL JOB FAIR will be held Thursday, April 16, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
 
Connect to more than 60 employers throughout the state in a virtual environment in this virtual job fair (accessed through a computer or mobile device without a download). Here you’ll have the ability to view and connect with employers statewide utilizing an online chat feature. To register, log into your ‘my Job Search’ account and find the event on your calendar (in your messages and alerts). On the day of the event come back to the Calendar Event to access the virtual job fair link. A brief registration will guide you into an electronic Exhibit Hall where you can connect with employers.

This FREE, evidence-based program will help participants recognize the warning signs, risk factors, and common behaviors of those at risk for suicide. Participants will learn skills on how to best help and potentially save lives of loved ones.  This training is for anyone who would like resources on this important issue.  Participants 12 and older are welcome to enroll.
