Tooele City will maintain ownership of all light pole banners. Tooele City will not offer a choice of location or guarantee a duration of time that banner is displayed. Banners will be displayed along Main Street in the downtown area.
Banners cost $100.00 per side. This fee is for the printing and displaying of banners only. Customer is not purchasing the actual banner. Banners will be printed double sided with a different Veteran on either side. Tooele City cannot customize or guarantee who is printed on the other side of the banner.
Each customer will be responsible to provide Tooele City with a quality image and valid military service information (Name, military branch and date of service). Image must be of high resolution (minimum of five megabytes). Acceptable formats are .TIF, .JPG, .PNG, .PDF, and .EPS. Tooele City is not responsible for lack of image quality, and reserves the right to refund banner fee if photo quality does not meet acceptable resolution quality and an acceptable replacement is not submitted by deadline. Professional photos must have a copyright release submitted with them.
Customer is responsible to provide an electronic image to Tooele City via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include Veteran’s name, military branch, and dates of service in the email. Once Tooele City receives the image and service information a proof will be emailed to the customer for approval. Please verify that your email address associated with your Tooele City account is correct. It is the customer’s responsibility to proof read and approve in a timely manner before the banner will be printed.
Tooele City reserves the right to remove or replace any and all damaged banners as needed. Tooele City guarantees that each banner will be displayed in the 2021 calendar year around Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veteran’s Day holidays.
Upon payment, the person signing the application affirms that they have authority to consent to Tooele City’s use of the Veteran’s name and photograph on the banner. If the Veteran is still living, we ask that the person obtain their consent. That person hereby waives and releases, on behalf of themselves and the Veteran’s estate/heirs, any claims against Tooele City for displaying a banner with the Veteran’s name and photograph, and hereby agrees to indemnify Tooele City for claims against the City and its agents arising from the City’s display of the banner.
