SR-36 (Tooele’s Main Street) Construction Project

SR-36 RENEWED  Route SR-36:  3 O’Clock Drive to Stansbury  Description Beginning Monday, March 23, 2015, Tooele City’s contractor will be replacing a 12-inch water main in Main Street between Canyon Road (approximately 650 South) and 600 North.  Click Here for more information about this project. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in coordination with Tooele City, is designing the full pavement reconstruction of SR-36 from 3 O’Clock Drive to 1280 North and pavement rehabilitation (rotomill and overlay) from 1280 North to Stansbury Parkway. Once the project is complete, the pavement life will be extended and the corridor will have consistent features that enhance safety. WATCH THIS VIDEO FROM UDOT for a complete project description! The project includes the following major items of work: 3 O’CLOCK DRIVE TO 1280 NORTH • Remove and replace pavement section • Install new storm drain • Replace deficient curb, gutter and sidewalk • Upgrade pedestrian ramps to meet ADA standards • Complete utility work to accommodate road work • Tooele City’s waterline replacement project from Old Canyon Road to 600 North (this work will take place prior to the road construction) 1280 NORTH TO 2000 NORTH • Remove and replace the top 1″ of pavement • Install curb and gutter on east side of road • Complete drainage improvements on east side of road 2000 NORTH TO STANSBURY DRIVE • Remove and replace the top 1″ of pavement    Community Notices The project team will be presenting to the Tooele City Council on Wednesday, March 4th at 7pm.  A public open house will be held the same evening at Tooele City Hall (90 N Main) from 6pm-9pm.  Please attend to view project information,...

2015 Facility Reservations

2015 Reservations for Park Pavilions, Ball Fields, and the Dow James Building are now open. Reservations for pavilions are only accepted for April 15 – October 15, use before or after that time frame is on a first-come basis. Reservations for ball fields and the Dow James Building will still have to be done in person at the Parks and Recreation office at Tooele City Hall (90 North Main Street) beginning on February 4, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. Reservations for Park Pavilions can be done in person at the Parks and Recreation office or online beginning on February 4, 2015.  For our online reservation system CLICK HERE. Please note that there is a new fee schedule for Tooele City Park Pavilions and that payment will be due at the time of reservation, whether it is done online or in person.
