Why is it important to vote in local elections?

While federal elections are important, the people representing us in local elections make decisions that affect us every day: they set tax rates which support Public Safety including Law Enforcement and Fire Departments,  roads, water systems, pass local laws, and work on economic development, just to name a few. Your Vote Counts!

This year Tooele City is voting for a Mayor and 2 City Council positions.
Tooele City Mayor Candidates — Steve Pruden and Debbie Winn
Tooele City Council Candidates (Vote for up to 2): Jeffery P. Saunders, Melodi M. Gochis, Rusty Thomas and Scott Wardle

Polls are open today from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
